Photographers who reside in Brazil and can participate in a contest.

The Culture Foundation of the State of Bahia is organizing the Pierre Verger National Photography Prize with the aim to promote Brazilian photography.

The contest will distribute BR$120,000 (about US$60,000) across three categories: free theme and free technique; documental photography; and photo innovation and experimentation.

Candidates must send photos, along with the application form, a resume and other additional information about the work via regular mail.

The postmark deadline is March 8.
