Prize to recognize works that highlight biodiversity
Deadline:
A reporting prize on biodiversity in Brazil accepts submissions in the categories TV and press for the eighth edition of the awards. The deadline to register is April 22.
The winners in each category may participate in an international event on journalism and the environment. The second and third place winners in each category will receive BRL$5,000 (about US$3,000) and BRL$2,500, respectively.
Candidates must send articles in Word format, along with a published copy, and TV reports in DVD format. Both articles and reports must have been published or broadcast between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2008.
The prize is organized by Aliança para a Conservação da Mata Atlântica, with the support of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the International Federation of Environmental Journalism and Biodiversity Foundation.
