Prize will honor works by young Ibero-American journalists

Young journalists of Ibero-American countries whose works defend and promote the values of freedom, equality, justice and human rights can compete in the second edition of ‘La Pepa 1812’ journalism prize. Deadline: March 15.

The prize intends to honor the work or accomplishments of journalists younger than 35 years of age. Works in Spanish and Portuguese will be accepted.

This year's competition has added a digital journalism category. Other categories are: print journalism, audiovisual journalism (radio and TV), and graphics journalism. Winners will receive EU€4,000 (about US$5,450).

The organizers are Instituto de la Juventud and Conmemoración del II Centenario de la Constitución de 1812, among others.
