Journalists worldwide who cover poverty, development and inequality have until February 2, 2009 to submit their best works to the Harry Chapin Media Awards, formally the World Hunger Media Awards.

Award categories include newspaper, periodical, photojournalism, radio, TV/film and book.

All entries must have appeared in the media between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008. International entries must be submitted in English.

Winners will receive cash prizes of US$1,000 to US$2,500.
