Program for reporting on Alzheimer’s issues accepting applications [US]

U.S. journalists interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s can apply for a four-day program.

The all-expenses-paid four-day program, sponsored by the National Press Foundation, is a comprehensive look at Alzheimer’s disease, a looming public health issue. The program will feature experts on topics such as the latest research in prevention, diagnosis and treatment, health care and ethical issues. Journalists will have the opportunity to use web resources and discuss ways to cover the complex issues related to the disease.

Confirmed speakers include Harry Johns, CEO of the Alzheimers Foundation, and Steven DeKosky, M.D., Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia. Fifteen participants will be selected.
