Radio journalists covering health in Africa can enter a scriptwriting competition.

The Radio Scriptwriting Competition on Healthy Communities, sponsored by Farm Radio International, awards radio scripts that tell the true story of a regional initiative contributing to a healthy community. The competition is open to organizations and individuals, including stations, broadcasters and NGOs.

Topic suggestions include agriculture and health, maternal health, social justice and community safety. Scripts should be between 500 to 200 words with an approximate airing time of five to 10 minutes.

Top entries will be eligible for a variety of prizes, ranging from digital audio recorders to training and conference opportunities. Submissions will be accepted starting May 25.
