Portuguese-speaking journalists can register for an online course that will introduce participants to computer-assisted reporting. Deadline: March 28.

According to the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, the course's goal is to expand journalists' computer skills and teach them to form connections and to obtain, analyze, store and restore information.

Participants will learn advanced techniques for the Internet, how to develop their own databases and to use  Excel to analyze information.
