Latin American journalists have until October 6 to register for a workshop on the news coverage of health issues, to take place November 16 to 22 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Participants must work in the media in the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Uruguay.

The workshop will cover themes related to cardiovascular disease prevention, tobacco consumption and cancer, and will train in investigative journalism techniques and new technologies, among other topics.

The event is organized by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), with the support of Pfizer Mexico.
