Journalists from Russia can apply for a 10-day training course on “developing commercially viable public service news outlets”. The event will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from March 23-30. Last day to apply: February 14.

The event is organized by Transitions Online (TOL), a media development NGO and Internet magazine.

According to organizers, applicants must either be working as online journalists or have the desire to do so.  Basic English skills are desirable but not necessary.

Participants will learn how to organize, launch and operate an online news site, as well as gain practical experience in producing and marketing Internet content, explained the organizers.
