Science journalists invited to apply for intensive U.S. program
Deadline:
The U.S.-based Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) invites journalists interested in covering science to apply for its Logan Science Journalism Program. Deadline: March 2.
In its 24th year, the program provides professional science journalists, editors, and broadcast journalists with the chance to immerse themselves in the process of basic biomedical and environmental research.
The program offers science journalists the choice between two introductory week-long intensive laboratory courses -- May 27 to June 5 in Massachusetts, or June 17 to July 1 in Alaska.
Accepted journalists will work hand in hand with laboratory investigators, and in many cases will be given research projects of their own.
A limited number of fellowships are available. Fellowship support covers the cost of tuition, housing, library use, and transportation.
