EU journalists interested in reporting on poverty can attend a seminar.

The seminar, called “Platform Against Poverty: Policy briefing for journalists,” is sponsored by the European Journalism Centre. It will focus on the Europe 2020 Strategy, with an emphasis on using new innovative and participative actions to address the growing problem of poverty in the EU.

The seminar will bring together 30 journalists from the EU-27 with EU officials and independent experts. They will discuss issues pertaining to the EU’s effort to combat social exclusion and promote social justice and fundamental rights.
