Somali journalists' group forms branch in Kenya for exiled journalists
The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) launched a branch in Nairobi, Kenya, to care for journalists who have fled lawlessness and violence in Somalia and are now living as exiles.
The branch, at Stanley Hotel, will rehabilite injured journalists and will work towards ensuring press freedoms for its members. It will also serve NUSOJ members who are working in Nairobi for international media outlets.
For more information, contact NUSOJ at +252 1 859 944, or e-mail newsletter@nusoj.org. The NUSOJ Web site, at http://www.nusoj.org, is currently under construction.
