The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa (NPC) is seeking a communications specialist to maintain professional working relationships and contacts with media practitioners in the public, commercial and community sectors.
The successful candidate will manage the communications research and speechwriting unit; ensure daily monitoring of all media outlets (digital, electronic and print media); support the work of the NPC head of communications; and develop resources that effectively and creatively communicate the NPC’s message.
Applicants should have a master’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field, along with five years’ experience in the communications environment. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is crucial, along with an excellent understanding of the government communication environment.
