A conference on media innovation will be held at Stanford University in California.

The Conference on Innovation Journalism, sponsored by Stanford University, will bring together journalists, communicators, academic researchers and innovators to discuss the business of journalism.

On the first day of the conference, participants can attend either the communication or academic tracks depending on their interests. The second and third days of the conference will cover topics such as mobile reporting, mobile publishing and consumer privacy.

Speakers include Derek O’Halloran of the World Economic Forum and Håkan Eriksson, president of Ericsson Silicon Valley. The conference fee is US$50 per day. Registration will close May 18.
