Summer program on media development invites junior researchers, practitioners

An intensive summer school on media development for young researchers and practitioners will take place in Budapest, Hungary from June 29 to July 15. Deadline: March 1.

The program is designed to help early-stage researchers gain understanding of the history, theory, practice and current trends in the media development sector. Among the goals of the course is to expose students to a variety of tools and approaches to collecting information, analyzing data, and doing comparative research.

The summer school is organized by the U.S. Annenberg School for Communication (the University of Pennsylvania) and the Center for Media and Communication Studies at the Central European University in Budapest.

Applicants are required to submit a writing sample and a CV. Applicants should also have sufficient English skills (reading and writing). Full and partial funding is available for participants from Central, Southern and East European countries, including former Soviet republics.
