Journalists in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil can participate in this contest.

The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) is organizing the 2013 Sustainable Mobility Journalism Award which seeks to support and encourage communication about the need to improve the quality of life in large cities through appropriate transport policies and urban development.

Journalists from Mexico, Argentina and Brazil can participate by submitting notes, essays and opinion pieces that provide information on mobility initiatives and sustainable transport, urban development policies and their benefits on the quality of life in cities. Entries must have been published between January 1, 2012 and July 15, 2013 in any national news media.

The winner from each country will win a trip to New York to attend a sustainable mobility event in October.

The deadline is July 15.
