Thomson Reuters offers course in TV news [Latin America]

Journalists interested in broadcast reporting can apply for this training session in Lima, Peru.
Thomson Reuters TrustMedia is offering a five-day training course that teaches creative approaches to producing TV news stories.
Subjects include research, writing for TV, camera work and editing. Lectures are supported by practical exercises and video examples. The class is run by senior Reuters television journalists.
Applicants must be currently working as journalists or regular contributors to broadcast media organizations. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their respective countries, must have at least two years’ professional experience and have a good level of spoken and written English.
Each applicant must submit a biography of up to 250 words and two recent examples of published work, preferably relevant to the course. TV/radio journalists can send in scripts accompanied by a brief summary. Submissions must also include a statement of 250-500 words describing any experiences in presenting television/radio programs, reporting, script-writing or producing/video-editing.
The application deadline is August 10.
