Journalists under 30 from Africa can apply for journalism scholarship.
The FitzGerald Prize offers African journalists a scholarship for a post-graduate honors degree at The University Witwatersrand’s Journalism Program in Johannesburg.
Sponsored by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the scholarship winner is also eligible for work experience with Reuters News after completion of the degree.
Candidates must be under 30, have an undergraduate degree or at least three years of professional experience in journalism. They must be nominated by a senior journalist, publisher or academic and must be fluent in English.
This scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation and a modest living stipend.
