Thomson Reuters seeks chief correspondent [Central Asia]
Journalists fluent in English and Russian can apply for a position in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Thomson Reuters is looking for an energetic and first-rate correspondent with a proven track record to lead coverage in Central Asia.
The correspondent will help oversee the organization's news production from these five countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The successful candidate will be a top-notch writer and a motivated self-starter. The correspondent will provide strong coverage of the region, hire local staff and will manage a multimedia team of 12 reporters.
Candidates should have strong news judgment, excellent writing abilities and thorough knowledge of English and Russian. Knowledge of any other languages used in the region is a plus.
