Thomson Reuters is seeking a community editor to manage Trading India, a market-focused chatroom with more than 500 participants including traders, analysts and fund managers.
The editor will moderate day-to-day chatroom conversation flow; manage a small team to meet demanding metrics and criteria; write and/or edit the Day Ahead newsletter; and pitch and plan chatroom events with key commentators and newsmakers.
The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of financial markets across all asset classes. The editor must also be a habitual and smart user of social media, who will know how to leverage it as a powerful tool to build communities and exchange information.
The person will also need to be confident in sparking and steering conversations, as well as an instinctive social speaker and networker who can interact with market participants in the chatroom and at sponsored events. Applicants shoulds have a deep knowledge of markets, investment strategy or financial analysis, along with good writing and multimedia presentation skills.
