Thomson Reuters seeks editor [Middle East]

Journalists with knowledge of the Middle East business environment can apply for a position in Dubai.

Zawya, a Thomson Reuters company and source of Middle East and North Africa business intelligence, is seeking a deputy editor.

The successful candidate will oversee the English and Arabic teams who post relevant news, press releases, multimedia and events to ensure their accuracy, efficiency and relevance. The editor will also be involved in contributing to Zawya's content.

Applicants should have a university degree or equivalent is well regarded, ideally in journalism; at least five years of experience in either news-wires, newspapers or online media; in-depth knowledge of Middle East business; proven news judgment and analytical abilities thorough understanding of business issues of the region; and ability to write complex stories on financial issues such as stock markets, IPOs, funds and bonds.

Native-level English is required, and Arabic knowledge is preferred.
