The successful candidate will have a range of duties that run from straightforward, standardized tasks to unexpected but urgent market-moving news. A core part of the job will be scouring all available electronic and other media for news of United States and European refinery and power plant outages; and major events that are rarely publicly announced but can move a market instantly.

Applicants should have at least one year of journalism experience, or a post-graduate degree in journalism or communications. Candidates should also have the ability to build contacts with market professionals overseas.
