Lebanese journalists, editors and bloggers can apply for a series of free workshops.

The Social Media Exchange and Lebanon's Annahar newspaper are organizing a series of workshops about the usage of social media in creating reports.

The training materials include the basics of reporting, writing for social media platforms, how to use photos, videos, reports and interviews for a better online story on social media platforms, verifying online information and the values of online journalism, available applications for citizen journalists and digital security.

Interested candidates need to be active on one of the social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube), attend all the training sessions and preferably have a smartphone that can be used during the workshop.

The next trainings will be held on May 25, June 1 and June 22.
