Young journalists and graduates of other specialties can participate in this free program.

Brazil's Folha de S. Paulo will be launching its first training program in science and health journalism on July 1.

The month-long program will consist of daily reporting and news writing exercises, putting in practice Folha's editorial principles. Participants will learn about the process of building scientific knowledge, how to read and interpret a paper and how to understand medical statistics, among other topics.

Applicants must register by May 3 and take an online exam on May 17 to be considered.
