Journalists interested in learning more about access to public information can participate in a Twitter chat.

The live chat titled "Back to Basics: FOIA for beginners" will provide an introduction to the Freedom of Information Act and takes place 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST November 18 using the hash tag #foiachat.

The chat generates collaboration between activists, citizens, bloggers and journalists in regards to filing for Freedom of Information requests.

This chat is part of an ongoing discussion series organized by Sunshine Review, a website dedicated to transparency in government.
