Journalists interested in using Twitter as a career tool can attend this course in Johannesburg.

The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism invites journalists to attend "Twitter for Journalists," which will offer insight into Twitter's role in journalism. Topics discussed will include Twitter's use as a source-finder, brand-builder, aggregator and way to crowdsource ideas.

The session, facilitated by South African journalist Raymond Joseph, will also address Twitter's ability to gauge public opinion, along with its role in citizen journalism.

The course will be held on July 23 at the IAJ offices.
