Journalists from selected countries in Eastern Europe are invited to apply for a John Smith Fellowship, aimed at recruiting young leaders who will make a substantial impact on the future development of their countries.

Applicants can be from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Participants will visit and learn about political, judicial, constitutional and other institutions and procedures in the United Kingdom, as well as share experiences  with each other and with British hosts and experts.
