Under the general guidance of the regional chief of communication, the communications specialist will be responsible for the conceptualization, planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of advocacy and communication tools and strategies to promote respect for children’s and women’s rights and support UNICEF’s mission in the country offices of the region.

Qualified candidates will have a university degree in communication, journalism, public relations or equivalent professional work experience.

Applicants should also have five years of professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media or interactive digital media and website editing, of which two years should be in developing countries.

Fluency in English and French required.
