Journalists from television channels and digital media outlets in Chile can participate in this contest.

The Excellence in Video Journalism Award, organized by Universidad Alberto Hurtado, will recognize the best video stories in Chile in the following categories: journalistic report or documentary, coverage of major news events, investigative reporting, daily news and interviews.

All submitted entries must have been aired between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012, by Chilean television channels, cable with national or local coverage or digital media outlets. Projects can be authored by an individual or a team for the same media outlet.

The winner will receive CLP1,000,000 (about US$2,000).

The deadline is October 26.
