The Wall Street Journal is seeking a deputy editor for its Saturday lifestyle section, Off Duty.
The deputy editor manages a staff of editors, ensuring efficient work flow, and works closely with the art director and photo editor to generate art concepts for cover and inside stories. The successful candidate will also generate story ideas, commission articles, edit text and write display copy.
Applicants should be familiar with the worlds of food, travel, design and fashion and have solid industry and writer contacts. Candidates must also have strong editing and writing skills, and be able to multitask and problem solve.
