Photojournalists and amateurs worldwide can enter this contest.

Burrard-Lucas Photography is accepting applications for its Wildlife Photo Competition 2012.

The contest aims to award original and beautiful wildlife photographs that reveal the character or behavior of the subjects. Photographs of animals in captivity are eligible for entry, but the circumstances must be disclosed in the caption. Photos of pets and domesticated animals may not be entered.

The winner will receive a Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR camera and a 16×24 framed print of the winning shot. To see the first-place photograph from last year's contest, click here.
