Professional and amateur photographers in Russia can participate in this contest.

The Caucasus Programme - Institute for War and Peace Reporting is accepting entries for its Women & Conflict photography competition.

Participants can submit works in two categories: best report/feature (10-15 photos) and best story (one photo). Photos must have been taken in Georgia during the year 2012. Each submission should include a caption and a brief of up to 300 words, describing the scene and circumstances surrounding the image(s). Briefs can be written in Georgian, Russian or English.

The contest is being conducted under a broader initiative of the institute, Women Connecting for Peace: The Voice of Change, which puts a strong emphasis on conflict resolution, confidence-building skills and opportunities for women.

The deadline is 30 August.
