Staff or freelance journalists working for all media platforms in English or Spanish can apply.

Borderzine, Reporting Across Fronteras is seeking U.S.-based journalists in the United States for a three-day training, Sept. 26-29, at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), sponsored by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation.

The workshop program will include sessions on how to analyze immigration statistics/data, data visualization for immigration storytelling, the latest national research on immigration trends, political players and advocacy positions on immigration reform. There will also be a visit to the border fence and an immigrant community center.

The Robert R. McCormick Foundation covers tuition, housing, food and transportation.

The application deadline is Aug. 5.
