Workshop on election coverage offers fellowships [Philippines]

Journalists working in the Philippines can apply for a fellowship.
The University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication UPCMC) is seeking fellows for its 16th Graciano Lopez Jaena Journalism Workshop, which will take place October 21 - 27 at the UP College of Mass Communication in Diliman, Quezon City. This year’s workshop will focus on “Media and Elections: Safety and Governance.”
Fellowships are open to full-time print, broadcast or online journalists, as well as journalism educators and students. Applicants should be 45 years old or younger, and must have at least two years of journalism experience.
Submissions must include an application letter; resume; two published/broadcast news reports; a story plan for an investigative report on media and the elections; and an endorsement from an editor, local press club president or a Lopez Jaena Journalism Workshop alumnus.
The application deadline is September 14.
