Media professionals with experience writing or editing for the Web can apply for this position in Washington.

The World Bank is seeking an online communications officer to oversee its Arabic Web presence and manage its corporate Arabic online presence, including identifying, developing and publishing relevant content for Arabic-speaking audiences.

Responsibilities include developing and executing online content strategies; aligning the institution’s online approach with corporate messaging and priorities and developing content in response to breaking news; and preparing and maintain a Web editorial calendar for corporate Arabic coverage in coordination with regional, country and corporate communications staff.

Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience in writing and/or editing for the Web, along with an excellent command of both Arabic and English.
