World TV and Radio Awards 2011 accepting entries [Worldwide]

Broadcasters from public, private sector and freelance producers are invited to participate in the World TV and Radio Awards.

The World Television Award for 2011, organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development AIBD, is divided into two categories: Humanity and Science and Environment.

Radio awards will be given in three categories: best TV program designed for new media, best web radio and best radio program on forest issues.

The World TV and Radio Awards are supported by United Nations Environment Programme OzonAction, Arab States Broadcasting Union, France 24, Radio France International, Monte-Carlo Doualiya, Radio TV Malaysia, Commonwealth Broadcasting Association and AIBD.

Content must have been produced in the last 24 months before submission and material should be in English or with English subtitles or translations.

The deadline to submit abstracts has been extended to April, 25 2011.
