The WorldAid'98 Global Expo and Conference on Aid in Action will be held October 6-8 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland.

During its second day, the conference and exposition on "The Future For Aid," will emphasize information issues with special sessions on media and crisis, disaster communications and the role of radio in development, according to the European Journalism Centre.

WorldAid'98 is presented by the International Council of Voluntary Agencies/WorldAid Consortium organized in collaboration with the Orgexpo foundation for the promotion and organization of exhibitions and conferences.

WorldAid'98 will feature hundreds of exhibitors, including global phone provider Iridium, the International Centre for Humanitarian Reporting and the Reuter Foundation's new aid-focused Internet service, AlertNet, EJC reported.
