World's Worst Travel Photographer contest open

Deadline:

7/6/12

Unskilled photographers who live in the United Kingdom can submit their worst travel photos to this contest.

The Flight Centre is accepting applications for its World’s Worst Travel Photographer 2012. Applicants can submit their failed photos to one of two categories: photos taken with a camera, and photos taken with a mobile phone.

Participants can submit an unlimited number of photos. Pictures can be of anything travel-related, including landscapes, cityscapes, wildlife, monuments, statues and mountains.

Judges will be looking for entries that show potential talent behind the photographic malfunction.

The grand prize winner will receive a Fuji X-S1 Camera worth more than EUR£500 (about US$630) and enrollment in a photography course.

Entries can be submitted by emailing wwtpATflightcentre.co.uk with a photo, entry category and a caption including where the photo was taken and what it was meant to be. Applicants can also tweet @WorstTravelPics with a photo, including in the Tweet an entry category, the hashtag #crapsnaps and the additional information about location and photo subject.

The application deadline is July 6.
