Journalists, journalism professors and those interested in journalism education can attend Brazil's national conference of journalism professors, scheduled for April 21 to 23, 2010 in Recife, Brazil. The deadline to submit papers is March 1, 2010.

A database of media trainers from around the world is seeking journalists who have experience training in the areas of diversity, human rights, conflict and media relations.

Interested trainers should submit a brief profile, including fields of expertise, regions/countries worked in, media format experience and languages spoken.

Journalists and editors are invited to a free seminar on editing and style guidelines, to take place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan August 24 to 27. Deadline to apply: August 15.

The seminar will be taught by Elena Grigorievna Soboleva, Ph.D, head of the Department of the Languages of Media at Ural State Gorkiy University.

Broadcast media professionals worldwide can apply for a "Training the Trainers" course in the Netherlands that will aim to help broadcast organizations meet current challenges facing the industry. Deadline: October 1.

The six-week course, being offered by the Radio Netherlands Training Centre in Hilversum, will take place May 17 to June 25, 2010.
