    This winter, St. Petersburg State University’s Mass Media Center of the School of Journalism will hold a course on public relations. The course, entitled “PR as a part of System of Business Communications in Modern Russia,” is scheduled to take place from February 6-12. Deadline to register: January 23.

    Students and professionals in PR, advertising, journalism or mass communications are welcome to enroll. The course will be taught in Russian and will include lectures, training seminars and discussions on advertising and PR.

    The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) has announced that its 2009 congress will take place in Hyderabad, India, from March 22 to 25 of that year.

    The annual World Newspaper Congress, a gathering for newspaper executives worldwide to share their expertise and network, also includes the World Editors Forum. The next congress is scheduled for June 1 to 4, 2008, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
