Al-Wifaq, an Arabic-language newspaper published by Iran’s state news agency, aims to extend its reach in the Middle East, the pan-Arab newspaper Asharq Alawsat reported.

Al-Wifaq Editor-in-Chief Museeb Naeemi told Asharq that the Iranian newspaper is seeking permission to publish in some Arab countries. He specified Iraq and the Gulf countries as places of interest. Naeemi also said the newspaper plans to publish “a Lebanese version.”
