    Southern African journalists have until March 20 to apply for a training program that will take place over the next three years. The program includes two courses each year until 2008, and the sponsors cover all international travel, living expenses and tuition fees.

    The Southern African NSJ Media Training Trust is organizing the program, with support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

  • Journalists to train colleagues in Kaliningrad

    Experienced Russian journalists who want to learn how to train their colleagues will participate in an upcoming course in Kaliningrad, scheduled for February 28 to March 2.

    The Media Division of the Council of Europe is organizing the course, as part of the council’s wider efforts to promote democratic governance and social development in the region.

  • Netherlands to host train-the-trainers course

    Broadcast or online journalists from developing countries worldwide have until February 28 to apply for a six-week course to help them become trainers. The course is scheduled for May 15 to June 23 in Hilversum, Netherlands.

    The Radio Netherlands Training Center is organizing the course to strengthen the skills of trainers, organizers and educators in developing countries. Participants will learn how to identify needs and develop new training programs.

  • Course in Bishkek to help journalists train colleagues

    Central Asian journalists, editors and media owners will participate in a course on how to effectively train their colleagues on issues of media and democracy. The course will take place February 21 to 26 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

    Several journalists in the Philippines will be able to train their colleagues how to better cover HIV and AIDS after an upcoming course in Manila. The course is scheduled for January 20 to 22, organized by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).
