Applications are now available for the annual Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships, which bring 10 journalists from the developing world to the United States. Application deadline: August 15.
The 2008 program is scheduled to run from mid-March through September. Fellows get the opportunity to learn about American journalistic standards and ethics, working alongside reporters and editors in newsrooms across the country.
