Cardiff University in Wales is hosting a conference devoted to newspapers and their fate in the 21st century.

Caribbean media professionals with any level of experience can participate in a series of courses taking place from June to August in Jamaica.

The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) says there is still time to register for its annual World Newspaper Congress, scheduled for June 3 to 6 in Cape Town, South Africa. Among other events, roundtable talks on the eve of the congress will address issues such as African press freedom.

The annual congress also takes place in conjunction with the World Editors Forum and Info Services Expo. Each year, there are several roundtable discussions that take place on the eve of these events.
