UNESCO seeks to honor a person, organization or institution that has made an outstanding contribution to the defense and/or promotion of press freedom anywhere in the world.
The Committee to Protect Journalists has launched the Steiger Fellow program. The six-month fellowship, established to honor Paul Steiger, starts on September 15.
