Tips and Insights to Preventing Digital Ad Fraud

The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) is working to make the industry more aware of “malvertising+.” This type of behavior allows criminals to access the digital advertising supply chain and inflict harm on consumers by either hijacking links or forcing the download of malicious software. The industry can combat this issue by assigning a TAG ID to each advertising campaign and scanning each piece of creative for unfamiliar codes before releasing an ad.
