Media Transparency: Action Steps for Marketers

Executive Summary

Media transparency has been an issue for advertisers for some time, and the results of a recent ANA study indicate that there is much for advertisers to be concerned about. The study found widespread evidence of non-transparent business practices among agencies of all sizes and types. Recommendations for combating this issue include re-evaluating agency contracts, building a greater understanding of the technology used by agencies and other partners, and developing a code of conduct.
