Obama win makes headlines around the world
On November 5, 2008, the day after the United States elected Democratic Senator Barack Obama to be its 44th president, newspapers around the world dedicated front-page space to the historic news. Covers depicted various aspects of the campaign and the president-elect, including the historical significance of the nation's first black president, a new era of "change" and the impact of the results on the rest of the world.
